Articles like this never make the media in western countries do they? The Emirates is a Muslim country yet they take tolerance of other faiths to a new level when they assist with the funding to the rebuilding of the Anglican church here in Abu Dhabi.

ABU DHABI // The Crown Prince has pledged to help fund the refurbishment of the capital’s St Andrew’s Church compound, a group of ageing buildings that draws tens of thousands of worshippers every week.The announcement that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, who is also Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, will “take care of any shortfall of funds” in the project to revamp the complex into a modern place of worship was made by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at a Remembrance Sunday service this week.

Agreed. The original plot for St Andrews was donated by Sheikh Zayed. I am by no means sycophantic, but I applaud the local leadership for their tolerance of other faiths. Mind you, they do pick and choose.... any Synagogues in UAE?
